Under Siege ![]() The truth is that the people who employ "domestic terrorism" do not do so because they are "rightwing." They do so because they are criminally inclined, unhinged, violent, immoral people. They are the sort who would find an excuse to do harm no matter what the political climate might be. You see, it isn't the violence that Obama and company object to; it is violence against their ideology. Exhibit A, the unhinged, violent, immoral Bill Ayers, an admitted terrorist and friend of Obama: ![]() In 1970 Ayers was called "a national leader" of the Weatherman organization and "one of the chief theoreticians of the Weathermen" by The New York Times. The Weathermen called for revolutionary war against the United States government and the capitalist system. Their founding document called for the establishment of a "white fighting force" to be allied with the "Black Liberation Movement" and other "anti-colonial" movements to achieve "the destruction of US imperialism and the achievement of a classless world: world communism." In June 1974, the Weather Underground released a 151-page volume titled Prairie Fire, which stated: "We are a guerrilla organization ...We are communist women and men underground in the United States. The Weatherman leadership, including Ayers, pushed for a radical reformulation of sexual relations under the slogan "Smash Monogamy."2 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Therefore we should not consider Obama's schmoozing with two-bit South American thugs a show of weakness.4 Instead we must recognize it as a show of solidarity. Obama would like to openly declare his commitment to communism but he knows that he would not be able to achieve his leftist aims if he did so. Frankly, one does not need to read between the lines to see where things are going. Under the guise of law enforcement and national security Obama and company are working to convince the American populace that any - any - opposition to the political and social agenda of the left is dangerous and must be stamped out. The convincing will come easy. The propaganda machine known as the public education system has been very successful in creating a foolish and malleable citizenry. The majority of Americans cannot think for themselves and look to the "authorities" to tell them what is right and what is wrong. According to Obama, anyone who disagrees with him is not just wrong, but horribly wrong. To differ with Obama and company on politics makes one a radical, racist, extremist, terrorist anti-American. Already we are told that to protest against the expansion of federal power is to be part of an "unhinged mob." ![]() What are we to do in the face of this leftist conspiracy?6 To begin with we must exercise our right of free speech and we must encourage and support those who do so. For instance, every liberty loving American should email, call or send a letter to governor Perry of Texas and thank him for his stand against the oppressive power of the federal government. We should also give our support to other national personalities who consistently stand in opposition to the federal leviathan. Secondly we must bury our Senators and Representatives beneath emails, letters and phone calls every time there is another push to the left by Obama and company. I realize that this will require almost daily contact with your elected representatives in Washington D.C. (I send out emails at least two or three times a week), but without pressure from their constituents many representatives will fail to stand against the leftist tide. We must also frequently insist that our state senators, representatives and governor openly and vocally stand against federal encroachment on the sovereignty of the individual states. The very best defense against tyrannical federal power is strong local and state government. Third, we should become involved in local politics and work to move the party of our choice (republican, constitutional, libertarian), toward greater support of individual liberty. Fourth, we ought to be constantly writing and speaking on the subject: letters to the editor, blogs, web sites, community organization meetings (Elks, Rotary etc), and so on. Fifth, pray for wisdom. Also, pray that the Holy spirit will guide our civil leadership to pursue godliness no matter their spiritual condition. Finally, we cannot lose hope. No matter what happens we can rest assured that the sovereign Creator of the universe remains in control. Our job is to obey and imitate Christ in all things and leave the results to him. _________________________ 1. Any ideology or so called religion that seeks to centralize power, restrict the God given liberty of the individual and to crush dissent with force is leftist. See: Erik Von Kuehnelt-Leddihin, Leftism Revisited: From De Sade and Marx to Hitler and Pol Pot, (Washington D.C., Regnery Publishing, 1991). In Saudi Arabia all power is in the hands of the "royalty" and any deviation from Sharia is harshly dealt with. According to The Economist's Democracy Index, the Saudi government is the ninth most authoritarian regime in the world. 4. Chavez et al may interpret Obama's fawning as weakness or they may recognize his behavior as a show of camaraderie. The effect is the same in either case; a green light to pursue their leftist agendas at home and abroad with the approval of the U.S.A. 5. For the record, these are Saul Alinsky's 12 Rules For Radicals you've heard so much about: RULE 1: "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have." Power is derived from two main sources - money and people. "Have-Nots" must build power from flesh and blood RULE 2: "Never go outside the expertise of your people." It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. RULE 3: "Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy." Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. RULE 4: "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules." If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. RULE 5: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon." There is no defense. It's irrational. It's infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. RULE 6: "A good tactic is one your people enjoy." They'll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They're doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones RULE 7: "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag." Don't become old news RULE 8: "Keep the pressure on. Never let up." Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. RULE 9: "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself." Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. RULE 10: "If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive." Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. RULE 11: "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative." Never let the enemy score points because you're caught without a solution to the problem. RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. 6. "A combination of men for an evil purpose; an agreement between two or more persons, to commit some crime in concert." Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary of American English |
